Dr. Hussein Shivji
General DentistDr. Hussein Shivji is the principal dentist at Asante Dental Centre. Dr Shivji graduated in 2000 from the University of Manitoba. Among his academic achievements included being awarded the University Gold Medal for highest academic achievement as well as being selected as Class Valedictorian, he was also awarded several other merits including the Canadian Dental Association President’s Award, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, and the Canadian Academy of Periodontology Award.
Since 2005, Dr. Shivji has been practicing dentistry in Vancouver, where he practices at Asante Dental Centre in New Westminster. His passion for dentistry has led him to undergo extensive courses in various aspects of dentistry including implant dentistry, as well as training in veneers, Invisalign clear aligners, and bone preservation and grafting. He is always looking to enrich his knowledge and continues taking courses on an ongoing basis. Dr. Shivji enjoys spending his spare time listening to music, watching movies, hockey, photography, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Dental AssociateDr. Burcu Kement graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry in Turkey in 2021. After relocating to Vancouver, she successfully completed the equivalency process administered by the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and began practicing dentistry in Canada. Dr. Kement provides comprehensive care in all areas of general dentistry and aims to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for her patients.
Dr. Kement is committed to ongoing professional development and regularly attends continuing education programs to keep her knowledge and clinical skills up to date. She has focused her career on developing strong clinical skills, maintaining clear and effective communication, and providing a positive patient experience.
