Individuals currently eligible for CDCP include seniors aged 65 and above, minors under the age of 18, and adults holding a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate issued in 2023 by the federal government. In May 2025, adults aged 18 to 64 will also be able to apply. To qualify, patients must:
- Not have private dental insurance
- Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- Have filed taxes for the previous year
- Have a family net income under $90,000
Eligibility includes those with public dental plans, with coordination between existing benefits and the Canadian government dental plan for seniors.
What Does CDCP Cover?
