Job Description – Dental Receptionist:
Asante Dental Centre strives to deliver exceptional patient care by providing a comfortable and relaxing dental environment with a friendly dental team supported by high technology products to help improve patient experiences and result in an enhanced standard of dental care.
The Dental Receptionist is the public face of the clinic. This team member is a critical point of contact for patients and visitors to the clinic and should exude professionalism and friendliness consistent with our brand. As part of the dental team, the receptionist’s role is to assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling patient appointments and effectively managing office schedule
- Implementing procedures and policies to ensure smooth staffing and operations
- Managing office communications including mail, phones, faxes, and emails
- Promoting a professional image of the clinic at all times and being knowledgeable about the services provided
- Managing and organizing patient records and other paperwork as necessary and in compliance with Privacy Laws
- Presenting treatment plans and coordinating financial arrangements as needed
- Ordering and ensuring supplies and lab work are received in time as needed
- Managing finances, including payables, receivables, and bank deposits
- Managing insurance claims and coordinating insurance paperwork and preauthorizations
- Reporting/managing equipment breakdown
- Contributing to and managing marketing plans
- Reactivating patients and requesting referrals and reviews from existing patients
- Identifying areas for continuous improvement and tracking quality metrics
- Completing other delegated tasks as required
- Working independently and effectively without supervision
- Providing excellent customer service
